Coir fibre is extracted from green, natural coconut husk after retting in flowing circulated or changed water for a period of minimum 3 months.  Either mechanically extracted from the dry husk of matured and ripe coconut after soaking husk in the water the fibre shall be reasonably free from moisture and impurities.
